Hey Friend!

Whew! Where do I even start?

In 2024, I set out to do something absolutely wild—perform a monologue every single Monday for an entire year. That’s 53 Mondays. 53 monologues. And yes, I pulled it off. Insert loud, dramatic applause here. I am sure Monday hates to see me coming. wink!

When I first got the idea, I thought, “Oh, this’ll be fun!” And it was… sometimes. Most times? It was a full-on emotional marathon. Picture me, sitting in front of my camera at midnight, re-filming because I suddenly “hated” the take I loved two hours ago or those days when I was drained, mentally, emotionally, physically, but still had to pull out a performance that felt honest and fresh.

See that’s the thing about acting that people don’t always notice. It’s not just about saying lines. It’s about being, becoming different people, understanding their motivations, feeling their joys, their heartbreaks, their chaos. Doing that once is tough. Doing that every single week? Friend, it took everything out of me but here’s the twist: I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.

There was something sacred about showing up week after week, even when I didn’t feel like it. I learned more about myself as an actor and a person. I discovered emotional layers I didn’t even know I had and most importantly, I proved to myself that consistency isn’t just about discipline—it’s about love. Love for the craft. Love for the art. Love for the challenge.

However, let me be real. I didn’t do this alone. My clan? They held me down. The people who watched, liked, commented, sent me DMs hyping me up on days I doubted everything? Y’all carried me through! you have no idea!

So, what’s next? Oh, I’m going BIGGER. This was just the warm-up. second quarter of 2025, I’ll be spreading the net. I have a lot of plans and for one of them, I’ll be creating a community of actors who want to go on a similar journey. Whether it is for a month, six months or a year. In this community, I will hold your hand, and help you reach your goal. Be on the look out for that.
